2 years old!

Monday, November 05, 2007

Alright, alright, I'll update! I'm just not that good at this whole blog thing, but every few months is ok, right? Well, we just got back from Phoenix today. We went to go see Jose and Kim, Lisa and Joe, and Donnie and Charlotte. We didn't really do a whole lot except hang out and watch a few movies (like 3 in one day, or morning I should say) Oh well, I guess that's what vacation is for, huh? Anyway, I've been working for about 6 weeks now on a neuro med/surg floor. I was really stressed out at the beginning cuz everything is just so overwhelming. Especially the thought of having to take care of 6 patients!!  But now I'm starting to get the hang of things. I'm still on orientation and I'm up to about 4 or 5 patients and there's just some days that it seems like you're gonna lose your mind and then other days it seems like you have everything under control. Of course I still would rather be at home with Zeke though.   Reggie is still going to school and working here and there. You wouldn't believe all the complicated stuff that goes into landscaping/irrigation. Zeke is almost 1 1/2 and just keeps on getting bigger and is starting to talk alot! This weekend we noticed he's starting to put two words together, like "zapatos out" (put on my shoes cuz I wanna go outside) or "daddy out" (daddy take me outside...NOW!) It's kinda hard to believe that I have a toddler! Well, I think that's it for now. I'll try and post some pics later.

We're finally home after being gone for 6 weeks!! We had a really good time in Indiana and it was hard saying goodbye to everyone. Our trip went really good. I was amazed at how well Zeke did. (We were very fortunate). Now we're back to the real world where I have to go to work!  Actually, I'm kinda excited about it and kinda scared at the same time. Reggie starts school on the 27th of this month so this is a really big transition time for both of us. My nephew Nathan is doing soooo much better. He's running around and getting into everything just like before. Actually, most people probably wouldn't have a clue that anything happened to him. His right had is just a little bit slower and clumsier than his left hand, but overall he is doing great! So thanks to everyone who prayed for him! Hope everyone had a great summer! (I can't believe it's almost over)

Hey everyone! Well, we've been in Indiana for about a week and half now. I was really dreading the drive over here but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We drove about 17 hours the first day and 8 the second day. Zeke did pretty good. I think he just got used to the fact that he couldn't get out of his car seat (poor guy). Anyway, Reggie has been working and I've just been here at home with his mom. I'm enjoying every minute of it since I'll be working full time when we get back I don't know if many of you know or not but my nephew Nathan has been in the hospital for a week now. He had some bleeding in his brain and some other complications after that. He's doing a little better but the doctors can't seem to figure out what caused all of this. It's been really hard not being able to be there but I guess there's not much I can do but pray. If you guys think about it please pray for Nathan and Matt and Kendra. It's been really hard on all my family. Anyway, hope you guys had a good 4th of July. We had some pretty cool (and loud) fireworks here (since they're not illegal)
